Mary was born on February 19, 1937, in Gorman, Texas to Earle Alcus and Melissie Mildred Sturkie Williford. As a child, Mary lived in Comanche County, Texas. In 1946, the family moved to Breckenridge, Texas where Mary was educated. She also attended Abilene Christian College in Abilene, Texas.

Mary worked as an administrative assistant and then as a business manager and owner in Utah. Following retirement in 1997, she created a real estate investment company which she operated with her husband.

Intensely devoted to scripture study in her search for eternal truth, Mary was a member of The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She taught Seminary for eleven years in Abilene, Texas, and served in various capacities. Mary loved teaching, the beauties of nature, and architectural design. Above all, she considered herself extremely blessed to be a wife and mother in Israel.

Mary is survived by her husband, Alan T. Lynch; her daughter Donna Lemon (David) of Odessa, Texas; her son Sam White (Lillian) of Mesa, Arizona; her son Mart White (Andrea) of Cabot, Arkansas; a stepdaughter Janice Gegg (Ian) of Hoquiam, Washington; a stepdaughter Lynda Gardner (Ed) of Sugar City, Idaho; a stepdaughter Nancy Cutler (Darin) of Brigham City, Utah; a stepson James Lynch (Lydia) of Rexburg, Idaho; a stepson William Lynch of Oden, Utah; a stepson Charles Lynch (Mandy) of West Haven, Utah. Mary is also survived by her sister, Mildred Jane Cearley of Burkburnett, Texas; sixteen of her seventeen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.

Due to the love, honor, and respect shown to her by her family and friends prior to her passing, Mary requested that there be no viewing and no formal service held. The family will honor her request. Interment will be in Monk Cemetery, Ward, Arkansas. The family especially thanks Peggy as Arkansas Hospice for her love and care during Mary's illness. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
