Norene Phillips, 86, of Austin died Wednesday, December 2, 2009. She was born December 13, 1922 in Lonoke County to the late Guy and Lizzie Mayfield Cook. She was a member of Faith Christian Center and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She was always willing to help people, even people she did not know, in any way she could. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by two husbands; Lewis Mackie Phillips and Bob Eidson as well as two daughters; Linda Eisenhower and Patricia Moore, a sister, Opal Woodiel and a granddaughter, Sandra Eisenhower.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughter, Brinda Hines of Fort Wayne, Indiana, her sister, Betty Lou Walker of Jacksonville, seven grandchildren; Jeff Eisenhower, Rebecca Comoglio, Melvin Eisenhower, Teresa Farber, Robin Dean, Greg Sutton and Tommy Sutton as well as 22 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009, in the chapel of Moores Cabot Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sixteenth Section Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Phillips name to Friends House, c/o Cabot Church of Christ, P.O. Box 97, Cabot, AR 72023. Arrangements are by Moores Cabot Funeral Home (501)843-5816.
