BENTONVILLE — David Theodore Lowe, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away after battling cancer on Oct. 20, 2010. Born Nov. 12, 1942, son of a career Army officer, he had lived and traveled through-out the world.
Retired as a Master Sergeant in the Army after 27 years. David had honorably served in Vietnam and was active during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was also an Alaskan State Trooper for several years, and he had a lifelong passion for archeology and outdoor activities.
David was a member of the Shawnee Tribe, based in Miami, Okla. As a veteran gourd dancer, he enjoyed participating in Tri-State Native American programs.
He is survived by his father, brother and two sisters, as well as two sons, four daughters and six grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Oct. 26, 2010, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, Ark.
Burial services will follow at Rogers Cemetery.
