LONE, Bessie Lee - Bessie Lee Lone, youngest daughter of E.C. Lone and wife, died very suddenly Monday night at their home on West Walnut street. She was feeling in the best of health when she retired for the night but about eleven o'clock awoke her sister and remarked that she felt as though she were smothering. She arose and started for the bathroom to get a drink but fell before any one could reach her and became unconscious. A doctor was called at once but she was dead before he arrived. Death was the result of heart trouble although it was not suspected as she had been strong and active. Bessie was born in Rogers January 4, 1896 and had lived here all her life. A talented musician for one so young, she has always been a great favorite with our people and was especially popular among her young friends. Pretty, a good student, and a lovable young girl just entering into young womanhood, her sudden death comes as a great shock to the entire community and the bereaved parents and sister have the deepest sympathy of everyone who knew her. Funeral services were held at the residence yesterday morning at ten o'clock and were conducted by Dr. J.C. Arnett of the Presbyterian church, of which Bessie was a member, and by Dr. J.F. Eaton, president of Rogers Academy, where she was a pupil.
