Zadie Moncrief Witcher, age 95, of Searcy, died October 17, 2005. She was born November 10, 1909, in Van Buren County, to Alfred and Parthena Bridges Moncrief.
Zadie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loyce Witcher and four brothers, Rayburn Moncrief, Alvin Moncrief, William Moncrief and Troy Moncrief. Mrs. Witcher is survived by two children: Charlene Lackie of Searcy, Arkansas, and Troy Witcher of Cabot, Arkansas; one sister, Monell Norman of Benton; one brother, Cleveland Moncrief of Payson, AZ; six grandchildren: Tammy Roberts, Troy R. Witcher and Trisha Witcher of Cabot, Arkansas, Thomas Witcher of Conway, Arkansas, Craig Lackie of Searcy, Arkansas, and Christi Gaither of Batesville, Arkansas; eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas, with Bro. Ken Shaddox and Bro. David Crouch officiating. Burial will be at Cypress Valley Cemetery in Vilonia, Arkansas.
