Milgean “Gigi” Howell Garrett, 94, of Greenbrier, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born July 22, 1919 in Greenbrier, AR to the late Henry and Sarah Lawrence Howell. Milgean was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Cecil Garrett.

Milgean was a Charter member of Immanuel Baptist Church and donated the land for the site of First Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and partner in Cecil Garrett Construction.

Milgean is survived by her daughter Virginia Garrett Spurrier and husband George Spurrier, grandchildren, Marion Phillips Sibert and husband David Sibert, Polly Phillips (Smith) Parker and husband Chad Parker, Tina Spurrier Hedrick and husband Larry Hedrick, Pat Spurrier Cook and husband David Cook, great-grandchildren, Alex Parker, Kennedy Smith, Rocky Hedrick, Jackson Hedrick, Nathan Cook, Tim Sibert and Jennifer Sibert.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday January 21, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier (501)-679-2575, with Bro. Gaylon King officiating. Burial will follow at Pearson Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Hartsfield, Ronnie Hartsfield, Russ Benton, Larry Hargrove, Gary Patton, and Joe Crum. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church, 61 Green Valley Drive, Greenbrier, AR 72058.
