EDGEWOOD, Wash. — George W. Dobbs, 80, of Edgewood and Prairie Grove died April 20, 2006. He was born May 14, 1925, in Odell to Charles and Edna Cox Dobbs. He was an Army veteran, serving in the South Pacific-Asiatic Theater of Operations during World War II. He was a timber man, a real estate broker and a member of the VFW and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Harold Glen Dobbs.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mildred Dobbs of the home; one son, Daniel Dobbs and wife Eileen of Federal Way, Mont.; one daughter, Gloria Dobbs of Missoula, Mont.; two brothers, Mitchell Dobbs and Gerald "Ray" Dobbs, both of Prairie Grove; one sister, Geneva Collins.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m, Saturday at Shady Grove Cemetery in Odell with Bobby Dobbs officiating. Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home, Prairie Grove.
