*Obituary
Log Cabin Democrat
James Cordell "J. C." Frazier, 91, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008. He was born Dec. 28, 1916, in Vilonia, a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Ida Mae (Ballard) Frazier. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Fisher) Frazier; and a sister, Lucille Horton.
Frazier was a member of a Methodist Church in Caracas, Venezuela, and attended the Mount Carmel Methodist Church in Vilonia when home. He was a very caring and compassionate Christian man. He was always willing to help whether it was his church, some kid who needed to work or some elderly couple who didn't have anyone who cared for them.
James owned a bus line during World War II up to 1950; and started a bus line in Blytheville. James spent more than 50 years in South America working in the automotive industry and had worked with oil refineries. He then became involved with Dave Ward for several years shipping and selling buses in Caracas, Venezuela. Frazier returned to Scottsdale, Ariz. a few years ago.
Frazier is survived by his children, Alice F. Pisano of Conway, James Thomas Frazier of Scottsdale, Ariz., Virginia Mae Allen of North Little Rock and Ronald William Frazier of Vilonia; seven grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Beulah Marie Patrick of Sherwood; brothers, Lemuel Ardell Frazier of Austin, Cloyce Frazier of Des Moines, Wash., and Jerry Frazier of Vilonia; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Carmel Methodist Church in Vilonia with the Rev. Howard Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Cypress Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway, 327-7727.
