Joe Eskridge, 79, 118 Pierce, Springdale, died this morning at Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 9, 1897, in Howell County, Mo., he was the son of James Riley and Virginia L. Weatherly Eskridge, a member of the First Baptist Church, and a retired employe of Welch Foods, having moved to Springdale from Lubbock, Tex., in 1940.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carrie Mae Eskridge of the home; one son, James Robert Eskridge, Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, J.R. Eskridge, Dallas, Tex.; and one sister, Mrs. B.M. Day, Sun City, Ariz.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Sisco Chapel.
