George L. Lacy, Sr., 71, of Vilonia, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011.
He was born Feb. 12, 1940, in Hunter, Ark., to the late William Harrison and Gladys Opal Lacy.
He was also preceded in death by siblings, Wyona Johnson, Dorothy Traylor, Margaret Broughton, Billy Lacy, John David Lacy, and Jimmy Lacy.
He was an electrician and an Air Force veteran and attended the Faith Assembly of God.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen Lacy; children, Susie Lacy Casebier and husband Carroll of Conway, George Lacy, Jr. and wife Connie of Vilonia, and Tammy Lacy Tistle and husband Mark of Escondido, Calif.; siblings, Elizabeth Almond of Dallas, Texas, Jesse Lacy of Dexter, Mo., Carol Ward of Stuttgart, and Harold Lacy of Slidell, La.; five grandchildren, Amber Lacy Mannion of Vilonia, Jacob William Lacy, Candace Lacy Casebier, and Rachel Casebier, all of Conway, and Joseph Marvel Tistle of Escondido; and by three great-grandchildren, Landon Mannion, Madison Mannion, and Mack Mannion.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Sims and Rev. Larry Skinner officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, 501-327-5000.
