Jimmie C. McCall, age 82, of El Paso (White County), died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. Born June 19, 1921, in Little Rock, a son of the late James R. and Laura Alice (Calvin) McCall. He was a retired contractor and Coast Guard veteran.
He was a former deacon at Daugherty Hill Immanuel Baptist Church in Conway and a member of the American Legion in Searcy. A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, he will be remembered for his caring thoughtfulness towards others, his sense of humor, and love for dominos. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Myrtle McCall and a son, Morris D. McCall. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia A. McCall Middleton and husband, Tommie, and Sharon Jean McCall Burlin and husband, Joseph, all of North Little Rock; a son, Donald Ray McCall of El Paso; a sister, Laura Inez Riffle of Little Rock; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and longtime friend and domino partner, Carl "Smokey" Smith of Little Rock.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Bro. Roy Tilley officiating. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rickie Middleton, Joseph Burlin, William Halbrook, Mark Essary, Jimmy Driggers, and Justin Middleton
