Iva Lee Rhine, 77, of Mayflower, died Saturday (Jan. 29, 2005) at Conway Regional Medical Center.

Born July 15, 1927, in Mayflower, a daughter of the late Ed Fizer Acklin Sr. and Nevada Agee Acklin, she was a homemaker and a member of Palarm Chapel Baptist Church.


She was also preceded in death by two sons, Ray Rhine and Willie Rhine; two daughters, Betty Rhine and Doris Jordan; and two brothers, Lloyd Acklin and Tom Acklin.

Survivors are her husband, James Rhine of Mayflower; two sons, Raymond Rhine of Conway and Jerome Rhine of Jacksonville; five daughters, Vanessa Bryant of Sherwood, Earlene Malik of Kansas City, Mo., Annette Rhine of Mayflower, Lisa Clemente and Sharon Ricks, both of Conway; two brothers, Ed Fizer Acklin Jr. and Arzell Acklin, both of Little Rock; seven sisters, Jerrylean Terry of Arlington, Texas, Pearline Puckett of Paris, Tenn., Jessie Blaylock of Van Nuys, Calif., Geretta Howard of Little Rock, Gladys Moss of San Diego, and Carol Watson and Bettye Skyes, both of Lancaster, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Palarm Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. James E. Mackey officiating. Burial will be in Palarm Chapel Cemetery by Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home of Conway.
