John Paul Bugg fathered one child, Johnnie Ann Bugg from his first marriage to Virginia Whittaker Bugg. From his marriage to Cherry Holloway, John Paul had three children: Lon Paul, Julie Ruth, and Barry Everette Bugg. He was the son of Lon Jackson and Mary Ida Elizabeth Hayes Bugg of Sebastian County, Arkansas.
