Mrs. R. W. Barnes, 62, of Smackover died a in a local hospital Thursday at 9:05 p.m. following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Barnes was born June 23, 1902, in Stephens, the daughter of W. C. and Lenora Renfro Robison. She had lived in Smackover for the past 18 years and was a lifelong resident of Arkansas. She was a member of the Maple Ave. Baptist Church of Smackover. Survivors include; her husband, R. W. Barnes; one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Parker of Baytown, Tex.; one son, Harry Barnes of Longbeach, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. A. Powell of Camden and Mrs. Alice Robertson of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, M. C. Robison of Haynesville, La., and E. O. Robison of Camden. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Maple Avenue Baptist Church in Smackover with the Rev. Lewis E. Clark officiating. Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery near Camden under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The body will be carried to the church one hour prior to the time for the service.
