Linda Burritt Payne, age 61, of Queen City, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in a Texarkana, Texas Hospital.
Linda was born April 4, 1951, in Clarinda, Iowa to Donald Burritt and Erma Weaver Burritt. She was employed with Walmart; attended Eylau Methodist Church, Texarkana, Texas; she loved jigsaw puzzles and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Payne; her parents; two brothers, Donald Burritt and Richard Burritt.
She is survived by one step-son, Michael Payne of Manama, Bahrain; four step-daughters, Christine Payne of New Haven, Vermont, Marsha Payne of New Haven, Vermont, Patricia Rainwater of Marshall, Texas, Cynthia Napier of Waldron, Arkansas; one brother, Randall Burritt of Queen City, Texas; two sisters, Marsha Forde and husband Eddie of Childress, Texas, D'Ann Freeman and Willie Kirby of Queen City, Texas; beloved nephew, Jeremy Freeman of Queen City, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004; or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
