Diana Amanda "Mandy" Lee Rankin, loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed on January 27, 2008 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was 51 years old. Mandy is the daughter of Joann Turner Coleman of Greenville, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her father, Max Layne Lee of Eudora, Arkansas, her step-father James Otto Coleman of Greenville, MS and her ex husband and friend, Wylie Clifford Rankin of Eudora, AR. Mandy is survived by her children, Wylie Morton Rankin of Greenville, MS and Amanda Lee Rankin Powers of Eudora, AR now residing with her husband, 1st Lt. Christopher Bryan Powers (USAF Active Duty) in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She is also survived by her sisters, Maxie Lee Rebsamen of Greenville, MS and Angela Coleman Collins of New Orleans, LA, and a multitude of family and friends, including nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and great aunts.

Mandy graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College in 2001, the same year her two children graduated from college. Following her time as an x-ray technician, she successfully completed a radiation therapy program at Vanderbilt University Medical School in Nashville, TN. Mandy tried to make a difference in the lives of others as a Radiation Therapist at Bethesda Cancer Center in Florence, AL. She loved her job and the patients she treated, and was loved by her co-workers and patients as well.

Mandy was an exemplary Scoutmaster and Cubmaster for the Ouachita Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America for many years. Mandy served as the organist for Scott Memorial United Methodist Church, in Eudora, AR and was a member of the Eudora Garden Club and a recent inductee of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mandy's personality was so dynamic that she touched many lives and was loved by all who knew her.

Pallbearers will be Gary Armstrong, Jimmy Overton, and Leroy Sibley of Eudora, AR, Jarred Love and Kyle Love of Lake Providence, LA, Jarred Louviere of Jennings, LA Mike Murphy of Greenville, MS, and Wayne Simkovich of AL.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Scott Memorial United Methodist Church in Eudora, AR from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the Eudora Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, AR. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society, so her legacy of selflessness can live on.
