Rollin Lewis Barron Jr., 78, of Springdale died April 19, 2006, at his home. He was born April 3, 1928, in Combs to Rollin Lewis Barron Sr. and Enid Shofner Barron.

Rollin retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. and was a faithful member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale. His hobbies included a passion for flying and he built and flew his own airplanes. He built a motor home for traveling with his wife, family and friends. He was a dedicated and loving son, husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Miller Barron, in August 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Barron and Sherri Barnhill and husband Fred, all of Springdale; four grandchildren, Jared Green of Little Rock, Jenna Dickey of Fort Smith, Jill Brightwell of Yellville and Jaime Green of Monett, Mo.; one great-grandson, Jackson Green of Little Rock.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at Rogers Cemetery with Gary Frazier officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Sisco Chapel in Springdale.

Pallbearers will be Fred Barnhill, Jared Green, Don Harp, Joey Vantine, Charles Shumate and Jerry Danenhauer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Rudolph, Roy Howard, Haskell Jackson, Deryle Oxford, Gerald Porter and Deryl Powers.

Memorials may be made to Robinson Avenue Church of Christ, 1506 W. Robinson Ave., Springdale, 72764 or Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.
