SPRINGDALE -- John Glendon "Glenn" Barnes, 85, of Springdale died Dec. 1, 1999, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born June 12, 1914, in Spring Vally to John Riley and Maude Ann Holmesley Barnes. He was a retired maintenance foreman and a retired Free Will Baptist minister. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Victory Free Will Baptist Church and the Masters Men's Fellowship of the church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie L. Terry Barnes of the home; one stepson, Donald Terry of Springdale; one daughter, Glenda Storment of Winslow; one step-daughter, Ann Fowler of Fayetteville; two sisters, Edith Butler of Des Moines, Wash., and Madge Neill of Madison, Ala.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sisco Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Loy Counts officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation began Thursday. The family will be present from 5 to 6 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the Victory Free Will Baptist Church, 928 Walnut Grove Road, Springdale, 72764.
