V.J. Lovelady, 77, of Guion died Thursday, May 14, 1998, in a Calico Rock hospital.
He was the son of J.M. and Edna Breeden Lovelady. He was a member of the Guion Baptist Church and the Melbourne Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Ouida Cook Lovelady; a son, Vernon Lovelady of Beebe; a daughter, Connie Coots of Batesville; four grandchildren, Rex Lovelady, Jeff Lovelady, Ike Coots and Amy Coots; and three great-grandchildren, Garrett H. Lovelady, Greyson Lovelady and Victoria Lovelady.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne with the Rev. Noble Wiles officiating. Burial will be in Melbourne Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Vernon Lovelady, Ronnie Coots, Rex Lovelady, Jeff Lovelady, Ike Coots and Gary Hilburn.
