Troy C. Gross, 75, of Conway, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010.

Troy was born July 12, 1935, to the late Ernest and Verna (Tippitt) Gross.

He is also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Mr. Gross retired from the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Harlan Park Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. He visited all 50 states and many foreign countries through his service in the Air Force and after retirement.

Troy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lucille “Lue” Clark Gross of Conway; children, Rick Gross of Checotah, Okla., Alan Gross of Greers Ferry, Terrance Gross (Julie) of Greenbrier and Tasha Gross Moffitt (Ben) of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Rick Gross, Jennifer Gross, Cody Gross, Alan Baker, Brad Moffitt and Alex Moffitt; step-grandchildren, Thomas and Owen Mefford; great-grandchildren, Jasmine McIntosh and Ashton Troy Gross; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Union Hill Cemetery in White County.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, 327-5000.

Memorials may be made in Troy’s name to the American Cancer Society.
