PEKIN ~ Nora Mae Lilley, 85, of Pekin, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Timbercreek Rehab and Health Care in Pekin.

Born January 11, 1927 in Pulaski, Tennessee to Thomas and Ethel (McNeese) McGrew, she married Playford Jr. Lilley on January 19, 1946 at Athens, AL. He died August 8, 2003 in Mt. Vernon, AR. She also was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers.

Surviving are three daughters, Carolyn V. (Daryl) Young, Sr. of Pekin, Joyce (Daniel) Adams of Toledo, OH and Linda (Harold) Dahl of Mt. Vernon, AR; seven grandchildren, Heather (Wesley) Richardson, Daryl (Samantha) Young, Jr., both of Pekin, Danessa (Aaron) Ison of Mason, OH, Melinda Adams of Washington, D.C., Kenneth (Tiffany) Dahl of Mt. Vernon, AR, Jeremiah Dahl of Mt. Vernon, NC and Cody (Kayla) Dahl of Dyess, AR and eight great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, Nora was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.

Her graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Oliver Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, AR. Pastor Daniel Adams, her son-in-law, will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
