Lucy Mae Brown of Altadena, California formerly of North Little Rock, AR., passed away peacefully on January 20, 2013. She was a long-time member of New Zion Grove Baptist Church, North Little Rock, Ark. (McAlmont area) under Rev. Ulysses Robinson.

She worked at Pulaski County High School as the head cook for many years and she was a seamstress by trade.

When her health began to fail, she moved to Altadena, CA with her son and daughter-in-law.

Lucy Mae married David Brown October 7, 1934. David preceded her in death in 1978. Also, her oldest son David Jr. preceded her in death. Home going services will be Saturday, February 2, 2013, 11:00 am, at New Zion Grove Baptist Church, 404 Wallace Rd, NLR, AR. Interment will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery, Kerr, AR. Viewing: Friday, February 1, 2013, 5-7 pm, at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S. Chester St. LR (501) 372-1305.
