Wyvonna "Kaye" Braxton, 49, of Russellville, formerly of Fort Smith, went to her heavenly home Friday, June 1, 2007 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The daughter of Clement and Artilla Smyers Triplett, she was born October 18, 1957 in Fort Smith. She was a 1976 graduate of Northside High School in Fort Smith and received her associate degree in 1978 from UA-Fort Smith. In 1980 she received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Arkansas Tech University. She marred Willie E. Braxton on July 2, 1982 in Fort Smith. She was an active and faithful member of Pilgrim's Rest Missionary Baptist Church, #1 at Russellville. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Betsy Triplett-Warren and Alena Triplett-Gardner; 3 brothers, Felix Triplett, Sangus Triplett and Abel Triplett.
She is survived by her husband, Willie E. Braxton, Russellville; a son, Weldon Braxton, Russellville; two brothers, Carl Triplett, Fort Smith, Rev. Clement Triplett, Jr., Kansas City, MO; a sister, Ann Triplett-Embry, Phoenix, AZ.
Funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church in Russellville. Rev. Bryan E. Cox, Sr. will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be 6:30-8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Pilgrim's Rest #1 Missionary Baptist Church, 490 Lock & Dam Road, Russellville, AR 72802.
