Mae (Cook) Nolen, 93, resident of College Square, Conway, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at Conway Regional Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1915 in Mt. Vernon, a daughter of the late Willie Lee and Maggie Mae (Coffey) Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Harlan Nolen; a grandson, Scott Ratliff; and a number of brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Nolen was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Mae was retired church hostess for Calvary Baptist Church, and the Little Rock Public Schools where she was in food service management; and was a home maker.
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn Jones and husband Daniel of Jacksonville; Becky Robnett and husband Duke of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Joey Ratliff, Tanja Bajorek, Cindy Trostle, Jeffrey, Dustin and Brandon Robnett; ten great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; sisters, Reba Glover, Ardell Glover; and a brother, Joe Cook, all of Little Rock.
Visitation will be from 5 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008, in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway. Burial will follow in Oliver Cemetery, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. 501-327-7727.
