Alex Reed, 49, of Russellville, went home to be with his Lord Sunday, December 16, 2012. The son of George and Wanda Reed, he was born August 27, 1963, in West Helena. He married Holly Lindsay on December 21, 1991, at the First Presbyterian Church in Newport, AR. His career included pharmacy practice at Wal-Mart, USA Drug and Paris Family Pharmacy. He was a past co-owner of Rose Drug in Paris and a member of the Arkansas Pharmacists Association. He served the Lord faithfully as a deacon at West Side Church of Christ in Russellville and enjoyed playing tennis, computer technology, and especially being a devoted husband and father. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lucille Taylor.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Holly Reed; three children, Jacob, Braden and Hannah; parents, George and Wanda Reed; sister, Lisa Reed, all of Russellville; brother, Charles Reed of Bella Vista; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at West Side Church of Christ. Brother Bruce Grice will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to West Side Kids for Christ and Middle School Programs. Pallbearers are Mark Helms, Bill Helms, Jim Smith, Vance Parker, Brian Russell, Doug Bailey, Terry Smith and Mark Benton.
