LOWELL — Erik Kristian Skarsten, 31, of Lowell died March 21, 2002, at Gravette. He was born Dec. 12, 1970, in Anahelm, Calif., to Ted and Patra Tucker Skarsten. He was a construction foreman for the Highway Department and was a Lutheran. He was engaged to Shawn Marie Johnson of Lowell.
Survivors include his father of Springdale; one sister, Kristie D. Skarsten of Springdale; one brother, Jason E. Skarsten of Springdale.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale with the Rev. Roy Huddleston officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Michael McNicol, Cody Heithold, Tony Johnson. Keith Hubert, Jason Skarsten and Bill Turnbough.
