Louise D. Cook Charton, age 94, of Perryville, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013. She was born February 26, 1919, in Paron, Arkansas, a daughter of Thomas Edward Cook and Viola Belle Holcomb Cook. She was a retired preschool teacher and member of Second Baptist Church in Perryville.
Survivors include her son, David Charton (Pauline) of Perryville; two daughters, Karen Kinkaid (Bob) of White Hall, and Rebecca Gothard (Steve) of Perryville; grandchildren, Donna Roelke (Bob), Pam Long (Scott), Camille Brand (Christopher), Roslyn Hamelink (Darin), Ché Gothard, Bill Kinkaid, Sarah Charton (Mac Bird); great-grandchildren, Brent and Chelsea Long, Jacob Brand, Alex, Blake, and Lily Hamelink, Aidan, Connor and Emily Charton Bird.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt M. Charton; daughter, Sharon Coelyn; grandson, Ian David Charton; siblings, Hugh Cook, Annie Wilson, Mattie Sarver, Edward Cook, Lilburn Cook, Lucille Sorenson, Mabel Seylar, and Marie Cockman.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Second Baptist Church Perryville with Bro. Richard Gambill officiating. Burial will be at Cherry Hill Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service time at the church.
