Saint Joseph's Catholic Cemetery
Logan County,
Arkansas

Mar 15,1868-July 18,1895

Son of Fredrich and Anna Marie Mesel Gunther
As a young man aged 13 Wilhelm Günther migrated with his parents and two sisters aboard the SS Pollux, leaving his birthplace of Durkheim, Germany in 1881. The family settled in Logan County, Arkansas in autumn of that year where he helped his father Friederich and mother Anna with the land they purchased turning it into a productive farm.
William died at age 27 after his appendix burst. He had never married.
Wilhelm's younger brother Karl preceded him in death. His parents and three sisters survived him and most certainly mourned the loss of their dear son and brother.
