Lloyd L. Shull, 79, Springfield, was born October 29, 1926, in Shirley, Ark., and passed away Monday, September 4, 2006, in Cox South.

Lloyd served in the Army with the 3094th Quartermaster Refrigerator Company, Manila, Philippines Islands, until Dec. 1946. He lived in Shirley where he married Ola Marie Bonds on Aug. 2, 1948. They moved to Springfield where he retired from MFA Milling Company in 1991. His favorite pastimes were gardening and watching the Lady Bears play.

He is survived by his wife, Ola, one daughter, Barbara Wise, and one granddaughter, Laura Wise, all of Springfield; his brothers, Farrell Dee and Jeannie Shull, Spokane, Wash., and Billy Ray and Judy Shull, Shirley, Ark.; three sisters, Emma Jean Shull, Little Rock, Ark., Ramona Hinesley, Russellville, Ark., and Joy Beck, Boling Green, Ky.; one special nephew, Paul and Joyce Bonds, Rogersville, Mo.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, Walnut St. neighbors and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at National Avenue Christian Church, Springfield. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Sat., Sept. 9, at Olmstead Funeral Home, Edgemont (Fairfield Bay), Ark. Services will be at 2 p.m. at Shirley Church of Christ with burial in Bradford Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc. the American Diabetes Assoc., or the Southwest Mo. Humane Society.
