S.G. Parsley, 57, deputy state revenue commissioner in charge of the Fayetteville district, died in a Fayetteville hospital at 9:30 a.m. Thursday following an illness of several days. Mr. Parsley became ill more than a week ago and underwent several blood transfusions and later an operation was performed in an attempt to save his life. Mr. Parsley and his family lived in Rogers several years before moving to Fayetteville last year. Funeral services were held from the Rogers First Presbyterian church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Oscar Ingold, minister of the First Christian church, and assisted by Dr. Joseph Miller, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Burial was in the Rogers cemetery with A.D. Callison in charge. Surviving are the widow; 2 daughters, Geraldine and Leola Parsley, and 2 sons, Kenneth and Keith Parsley.

PARSLEY, Samuel G. - Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church in Rogers Saturday for Samuel G. Parsley who died last Thursday in Fayetteville. Mr. Parsley was born 57 years ago in Kentucky. When he was a small boy his parents moved to near Hindsville where he grew to manhood. He moved to Rogers about 12 years ago. He is survived by his widow, two sons and two daughters and a large number of other relatives.
