Zadia "Maxine" Lawrence, of Mtn.View, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ira Owen and Zadie Dobbins Gayler; husband, James Lawrence; brothers, Odis, Grady, and Jennings Gayler; sisters, Opal Thomas, Jewell Thomas, and Lavon Stevens and one great-granddaughter, Leah Gibson.
She is survived by her children, Larry Lawrence of Mtn. View, Catherine Gibson and husband James of Hempstead, TX, Joe Lawrence and wife Helen of Katy, TX and Sara Gossett and husband Greg of Cuero, TX; brother Carl and his wife Naomi of Mtn. View; grandchildren, Cristin Damon and husband Scott, Mackenzie Lawrence, Seth Gibson and wife Erika, Travis Gibson and wife Emily, Jamie Gibson, Mariah Nelson and husband Craig, Matthew Lawrence and wife Lan, James Lawrence and wife Kara, John Lawrence, Jennifer Lawrence, Amanda, Amber, and Haley Gossett; great grandchildren, Zadie and Chloe Gibson, Lila and Katelyn Lawrence, Emma and Hayley Nelson, and Madeleine Gibson, and numerous nieces and nephews who were all so special in her life.
She was born February 12, 1930, to the late Ira Owen and Zadia Dobbins Gayler. She married James "Jim" Lawrence on October 18, 1950. She was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church, and the Livewires, where she loved the fellowship of her church family. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest, never holding back. She was a stay-at-home mom and she and Jim raised four children. She was a wonderful mom, mother-in-law and Mamaw. There is sadness in our hearts that she is no longer here physically, but she will always be with us in our memories and we know she will be looking down on us.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to Flatwoods Baptist Church, 2709 East Main Street, Mtn. View, AR 72560.
Visitation is 5 - 7 p.m,, Monday, November 21, 2011 at Roller Crouch Chapel, Mtn. View, Arkansas.
Funeral service is 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Flatwoods Baptist Church, Mtn. View, Arkansas .
Pallbearers are Matthew Lawrence, James Lawrence, John Lawrence, Seth Gibson, Travis Gibson, Stan Sutterfield, Craig Nelson and Scott Damon.
Honorary pallbearers are Butch Copeland, Jack Thomas, Don Thomas, Ira Thomas, Gayler Thomas, Ivan Gayler, Keith Gayler, Daniel Gayler and Mitchell Gayler.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home, Mtn. View is in charge of the arrangements.
