Norma Ruth Bates Cato 62 passed away May 28th 2009 in Clinton Ar. She was born April 12, 1947 in Shirley, AR to Jed and Ina McKay. Norma was a homemaker, and loved to garden and raise her Maltese dogs. She had retired from Beldan wire and cable where she worked for 27 years. She was also a member of the Christian Fellowship church in Clinton, AR.
She is survived by her husband Darrell Cato of Choctaw, AR, two sons Lanny Bates of Choctaw, AR, Paul Bates and wife Lori of Choctaw. One Daughter JoAnn Bates of Redfield, AR. Two grandchildren, Casey Bates of Greenbrier, AR and Brandon Bates of Choctaw, AR. and one great-grandchild Lillie Watson of Clinton, AR. One sister Mary Davis of Batesville, AR and two brothers Willie McKay of Conway, AR and Bob McKay of Georgia. She is also survived by her beloved Maltese dogs, Tori Lee and Telli Lace.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Doris Kelly, one son Tracy Bates, and her first husband Paul Bates.
Visitation will be Sunday May 31st 2009 at Roller-McNutt funeral home from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Services will be held Monday June 1st, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with burial following at Huie cemetery in Clinton.
