John Wayburn Sturgeon the son of Marvin and Clara Bell Day Sturgeon was born in Conway, Arkansas on February 12, 1945 and passed away at his home in Rose Bud, Arkansas on June 25, 2012 at the age of 67 years.

John was a member of the New Heart Church; he loved animals and was a farmer. He had lived in the Rose Bud area for the past 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, one son and one great grandson. He is survived by his wife Patsy Alice Payne Sturgeon, four daughters Vickie Winningham, Robin Andrews, Terrie Boozier and Peggie Hanks, one son Dennis McCracken, two sisters Linda Mayhan and Louise Sebion , nine grandchildren: Christopher Hanks, Megan Hanks, Nick McCracken, Zac Mathis, Les Mathis, Autumn Leslie, Gary Birchett, Connor Boozier and Landon Boozier, 7 great grandchildren: McKenzie Hanks, Connor Hanks, Lynzie Mathis, Kynzie Mathis, Lacy Nicole Birchett, Eli Mark Birchett and Lillie Ann Birchett besides other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday June 27, 2012 at New Hart Church, 452 New Hart Road, Rose Bud beginning at 9:00 AM and funeral services will be at the church at 10:00 AM by Pastor Cindy Cummings.

Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Christopher Hanks, Kyle Sturgeon, Zac Mathis, Les Mathis, Gary Burchett and Like Leslie. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Boozier, Albert Andrews, Mark Winningham, James Hanks and George Mollianiao.
