George E. Fender, 73, of Rogers died Tuesday at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

He was born July 8, 1904 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a member of the Bethel Temple Church in Rogers and was former owner of a truck line in Iowa. He was also a retired farmer and a member of the Masonic Capital Lodge No. 110 in Iowa, Chapter 14, Royal Arch Masons, Council No. 1 Knights Temple, and Commandry No. 4, Za-ga-zig Temple A.A.O.N.M. Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Victoria Fender of the home; two brothers, Reuben C. Fender of Medford, Ore., and James C. Fender of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Mary P. Loper of South Holland, Ill., and Rose B. Marshall of Homewood, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Bethel Temple Church in Rogers with Jim Eden officiating. Graveside Masonic rites will be in the Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.

Memorials may be made to the Bethel Temple Church.

Mildred Victoria Fender, 71, of Rogers, died Tuesday, March 30, 1993, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of John and Mary Malinowski Jawor.

She was a members of the First Christian Church in Rogers, the Order of the Eastern Star and was preceded in death by her husband, George Eugene Fender. She moved to Rogers in 1974, from Berryville.

She is survived by an adopted daughter, Trudy Goss of Rogers; a sister, Mary DeWit of Rogers; a brother, Joseph Jawor of Rogers, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Christian Church in Rogers, with the Rev. Chris Pulliam and the Rev. David B. Artman officiating. Interment will be in the Bluff Cemetery in Springdale. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers. Memorials may be made to Hospice, 1125 N. College Ave., Fayetteville, AR 72703.
