James Earl Fitzgerald, 69, 2006-A Horseshoe Drive, Springdale, died Nov. 3 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 3, 1909, at Munday, Texas, he was the son of James Leroy and Lula Cowan Fitzgerald and was a member or Caudle Avenue Baptist Church. He retired in April of this year as a salesman with Bryant Motor Co. He was formerly a partner in Ozark Land Co. and was associated with the L.S. Phillips Insurance Co., and was past president of Springdale Real Estate Board. He was a graduate of Springdale High School, served with the Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the American Legion. He moved back to Springdale in 1947 from the Panama Canal Zone.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hilda Hewitt Fitzgerald of the home; four brothers, Truman A. Fitzgerald of Rogers, Irvin S. Fitzgerald of Fayetteville, Ewell Fitzgerald and Hal B. Fitzgerald of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Mrs. Don (Ruby) Herrington of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Hank (Mildred) Taylor of Greenvile, Miss., Mrs. Bernard (Berneace) Kirkpatrick of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Louis (Mary Louise) Feltz of Albuquerque, N.M.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sisco Chapel with the Rev. Burton A. Miley and the Rev. Emile Rousseau officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Caudle Avenue Baptist Church or Springdale Memorial Hospital.
