Fay Foster, a 11 year old school boy, was killed instantly at noon Monday in Springdale when he came in contact with a live electric wire that had been broken in two by a heavy coat of ice and had fallen on the sidewalk. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Riley Foster. Warning to one and all-keep away from any fallen wire you may see on the ground. You will probably not know whether it is a telephone wire or a live electric wire.

Springdale, Ark., Jan. 24. - Funeral arrangements have not been made yet for Fay Foster, 11-year-old school boy who was killed almost instantly Monday noon when he backed into a live wire which had been weighted down and broken by ice following a sleet storm here. The boy was on his way home to lunch to see his sick mother. He did not notice the wire. Mrs. Bell Lindsey saw the tragedy and ran to pull the child from the wire. She received a slight shock and was too late to save the boy. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Riley Foster, and a small brother and sister. The family came here from Madison county four years ago.

When the Rotary members returned from Springdale Monday afternoon they brought word of the death of Fay Foster, 11-year-old son of Riley Foster and wife, who had accidentally touched a live wire on his way home from school at the noon hour. The wire was hanging down among the ice covered limbs of a tree by the walk and it was not certain whether the boy touched the wire itself or an ice covered limb that carried the deadly current. The Foster family moved to Springdale from Madison county about four years ago.
