Elmer Foust died Saturday morning at 7 o'clock at Sabinal, Texas to which place he and his family went some months ago for the benefit of his health. A telegram was received from there Thursday by his relatives here announcing that he could not long survive and his brother, Grover, left Friday for Sabinal but Elmer was dead when he reached there. Death is supposed to have been caused by tuberculosis although we understand there is some doubt as to this. Grover, accompanied by the wife and children of the deceased, arrived in Springdale with the body Monday night. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Tuesday afternoon and in the absence of the pastor were conducted by Rev. W.C. Evans, pastor of the M.E. Church. The remains were interred in Bluff Cemetery. Deceased was born in Wells County, Ind. May 16, 1883 and came to this section with his parents, Jonathan and M.E. Foust, in his early youth. Some four years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Dorris Williams at this place who, together with two children, a son and a daughter, survives him. He is also survived by his mother and six brothers and five sisters. Before his death he was converted and baptized. Elmer spent most of his life in this vicinity and had many friends here who were grieved to learn of his death. The family of the deceased desires through The News to extend their sincere thanks to the people of Springdale and of Sabinal, Texas for the kindnesses shown them during their affliction. The people of the latter place were especially kind, considering the fact that the deceased was comparatively a stranger in that community.
