GUNDLOCK, John - John Gundlock, aged 77 years, died on last Saturday at 4 o'clock p.m. at his home on White river, seven miles east of town. The funeral services were held on Sunday at the M.E. church in this city at 2 o'clock p.m. and were conducted by Rev. Lowery. He was a member of the G.A.R., having served in a Minnesota regiment. He was born in Germany but came to Arkansas from Nicollet county, Minnesota, where he had resided for many years. He came here on account of asthma about eight years ago. He was the father of thirteen children, twelve of whom are still living. [Rogers Democrat 2/1/00]

GUNLOCK, John - (from The Rogers Republican} Died at his home seven miles east of Rogers, Saturday, Jan. 27, John Gunlock, aged 77 years. Mr. Gunlock was born in Berlin, Germany and moved to this county 8 years ago. He was the father of 13 children, 12 of whom are living. The funeral services were held at the M.E. church in this city last Sunday conducted by Rev. Lowery, after which the remains were laid to rest by Geo. H. Thomas Post, G.A.R. of this city.
