M.B. Daily died last Thursday morning at his home on South second street just a short time after we had gone to press. He had been very low for a week or so and his death was not unexpected. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at two o'clock and were conducted by Rev. U.S. Thomas of the Baptist church of which denomination he had been a member ever since early boyhood. Mr. Daily had been a resident of Rogers for some 10 years, coming here from Cherokee City, on the west edge of the county, where he had lived since 1884. He was a native of Illinois and was born in Hamilton county September 25, 1835, being 70 years old at the time of his death. He was married to Harriet M. Wood in 1884 and to them were born 7 children, 2 of whom are now living, Mrs. Lillie A. Thomasson of Maysville and Fay Daily of Rogers. His first wife died March 12, 1907 and a year later he was married to Mrs. Eliza J. Hunt of this city, who survives him. Mr. Daily served three years in the Union army, in the 87th Illinois Inft. Mr. Daily was a good man and a valuable citizen. Coming to Rogers in his latter years he did not take an active part in the business or social matters of the city but confined his interests to the church, where he was a devoted member. He will be missed from the church and from his walks among men by a number of friends.

DAILY, Harriet WOOLDRIDGE - Mrs. M.B. Daily died yesterday afternoon at her home just west of the Methodist Episcopal church, South. Death was the result of a stroke of paralysis from which she had suffered for several years. The last attack came on only a few days ago. Funeral services will be held this evening at half past three o'clock at the Baptist church and will be conducted by Rev. Jordan. The deceased came to Rogers with her husband four years ago from Cherokee City to be near their only son, Ray Daily. They have only one other child living, Mrs. Lillian Thompson of Maysville, who with her husband and children have been here this week. The maiden name of the deceased was Harriet Wooldridge and she was born October 24th, 1838 in Hopkins county, Kentucky. At an early age she moved with her parents to Hamilton county, Illinois where she lived until she came to Benton county in 1884, locating at Cherokee City. She united with the Baptist church at the age of 17 years. She was married to M.B. Daily in 1855 and to them were born seven children, only two of whom are now living. The Democrat joins with the friends of the family in extending sympathy to the bereaved husband and children.
