BRIDGFORD, Benjamin Franklin - Benjamin Franklin Bridgford was born May 31, 1852 in Monroe county, Missouri and grew to manhood near Sante Fe, that state. Later he moved to Oklahoma and came from there to Arkansas in 1906. He was united in marriage to Cora McCarey December 23, 1884. To that union was born a little daughter who departed this life when an infant, his wife passing away a few months later. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Mary Massie in 1908. To this union was born a son, Leon Maurice, who died when three years of age. He made the confession and was baptized into the Christian church when he was about 18 years of age. He was 72 years, seven months and seven days old at the time of his death. He was a member of Triumph Lodge, No. 16, Knights of Pythias of Missouri. He was loved by all who knew him and besides his wife, is mourned by three sisters, two brothers and a host of friends.

{from Cloverdale} Mrs. Verna Young came down from Kansas City to be at the funeral of her stepfather, B.F. Bridgford, who was stricken with paralysis Sunday, January 4th. He was taken to the home of his brother-in-law, Brinson Dean, where medical aid could be reached more readily and where he passed away on the 7th and was laid to rest in Rogers cemetery.
