Roy Franklin Rice, 75, of Springdale, died April 27, 1988, at Springdale. He was born Jan. 24, 1913, in Spring Valley, the son of Absolum and Minne Roberta Walker Rice. He was a member of Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II and had sung in various quartets of Springdale.
Survivors include his widow, Ruby Roberts Rice of the home; one son, Billy Joe Rice of the home; three daughters, Lavada Kerr, Mrs. Betty Bacon and Mrs. Mary Miles, all of Springdale; three sisters, Hazel Rice and Mrs. Pearl Webb of Springdale and Mrs. Ila Shipman of Sacramento, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services were at Sisco Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Cecil Garrison and the Rev. Tommy Day officiating. Burial was in Fairfield Memorial Gardens.

Ruby May Rice, 87, of Springdale died Aug. 1, 1997, at Northwest Medical Center. She was born April 28, 1910, at Springdale to the Rev. Josiah H. (Joda) and Ollie Jones Roberts. She was a member of the Phillips Chapel FWB Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Rice; one daughter.
Survivors include one son, Billy Joe Rice of Springdale; two daughters, Mary Miles and Lavanda Kerr, both of Springdale; one brother, Joda Roberts of Springdale; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with the Rev. Cecil Garrison and the Rev. Berton Perry officiating. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

SPRINGDALE - Billy Joe Rice, 61, of Springdale died
Sept. 16, 2004, at Springdale Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born Oct. 31, 1942, in Redding, Calif., to Roy Franklin and Ruby Mae Roberts Rice. He was a member of the Phillips Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale.
Survivors include one sister, Mary Miles of Springdale.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale.
