Rogers- Carrol Dewayne Laney, 73, of Rogers died April 17, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born April 19, 1927, in Washburn, Mo., to Herbert D. and Dora Mae Duckett Laney.
He was an inspector in the automobile-manufacturing industry of California, an Army veteran of World War Two and a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Joplin, Mo. He was an avid fisherman and had lived in Rogers since 1975, moving from Joplin.
Survivors include his wife, Anice Joann Folds Laney, to whom he was married Dec. 27, 1948; one son and daughter-in-law, Randy D. Laney and Shirley of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Dr. Connie Callahan Of Lexington, Ky., Lynn Warren and Mike and Dena Beauchamp and David, all of Rogers, one sister, Jewell Robins Of Washburn, Mo.; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Services will be from 2 p.m. today at Callison Lough Funeral Home in Rogers with Gibbie McMillan officiating.
