Robert E. Koenig, 88, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in Paris. He was born on April 25, 1923 in Pierce City, Missouri to Edward and Cecelia (Heidlage). He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, a farmer, a retiree of Cloyes Gear Company and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Cecelia Koenig, his wife Freda (Campbell) Koenig, one sister Ailene Gorman and one brother Lawrence Koenig.
Robert is survived by two sons, Edward M. Koenig and Wife J. Sue of Subiaco and Robert J. Koenig and wife Sue of Subiaco, one daughter, Carole A. Koenig of Central City, one sister Leonessa Fenske of Kansas City, three grandchildren, Amy Michelle Wilson and husband Chad of Alma, Scott Koenig and wife Amber of Fort Smith and Josh Koenig of Subiaco and three great grandchildren.
Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Roller Chapel in Paris.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, January 6, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Scott Koenig, Chad Wilson, Joshua Koenig, Anthony Frederick, and Mitchell Ford and Raymond Harrison.
Honorary pallbearers will be his great grandchildren.

Freda Mary Koenig, 85, of Paris, Arkansas died Thursday, July 30, 2009 in Paris. She was born June 2, 1924 in Pierce City, Missouri to Michael Campbell and Katherine (Hanlon) Campbell. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paris. Freda was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Koenig, of 63 years; two sons, Edward M. & Robert J. Koenig of Subiaco, AR; one daughter, Carde A. Koenig of Central City, AR; two sisters Carolyn Witt of Pierce City, Mo. and Ann Bowman of Neosho, MO; three brothers, Bernard Campbell of Monette, MO, Bob Campbell of Pierce City, MO and Terry Campbell of Monette, MO., and three Grandchildren.
Rosary at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 3, at Roller Chapel-Paris with funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church and burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home, Paris, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Scott Koenig, Chad Wilson, Joshua Koenig
