PRAIRIE GROVE (Special)— A Summers woman, enroate home after visiting a daughter at a Fayetteville hospital, was killed Saturday night in a one car crash one and one-half miles east of here on Hwy. 62.

Mrs. Mabel Ellen Davis, 45, was pronounced dead on arrival at Elizabeth Hospital here. She apparently died instantly from head and chest injuries when her car smashed head-on into a tree.

Mrs. Davis was born April 6, 1918, in Texas. She had been a Summers resident for the past 15 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara and Glenda of the home; a son, Perry of Norwich, Kan,; three sisters, Mrs, Ruby Stevens of Imperial, Calif., Mrs Roberta Parker of Downey, Calif., and Mrs. Opal Sorrell of Pineville, La.; and three brothers, Archie Blanton of Westville, Okla., and the Rev. W. R. Blanton of Norwich.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thusday at the Summers Baptist Church. Burial will be in Summers Cemetery under direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
