Obituary:
Merthel “Mert” Irene Shideler, 76, of West Memphis, AR, passed away Sunday January 16, 2011 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, TN. She was a Bookkeeper for Wilkinson & Snowden; was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed and she was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by two sons, Marty Ahrens of Jacksonville, FL and John Ahrens and wife, Shelley of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Barbara Milligan of West Memphis, AR and Melissa Cantrell and husband, Marwyn of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren, Heath Finch and wife, Dominique and Samantha Ahrens and two great-grandchildren, Jasper Finch and Nick King. The visitation will be Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis from 10:00-11:00 A.M. The service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 A.M. with interment in Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart, AR. Memorials may be sent to Mid-South Community College: 2000 West Broadway, West Memphis, AR 72301.
