Chesley Hidenoure, 47, Winslow sawmilloperator was fatallyinjured when he was struck by a falling tree while cutting timber on Lee Creek at Devil's Den State Park yesterday. Witnesses said a tree felled by Ridenoure struck another tree, causing the trunk to fly into the air & crush Ridenoure. Members of the timber cutting crew carried the injured man three miles on a improvised stretcher, then brought him to Fayetteville City Hospital by truck. He was pronounced dead on arrival. Ridenoure. who lived on WinslowRoute 1 in Crawford County, was born June 23, 1917, at Winslow, the son of Elbert & Elizabeth Ridenoure. In addition to his parents he is survived by the widow, Mrs
Mildred Ridenoure of the home; a son, James Earl of Fort Hood, Tex; 4 daughters, Mrs Cathy Burnett of Winslow, Miss Sharon Ridenoure of the home, Mrs Anita Spencer of Elkins & Mrs Diane Rickman of Winslow; 3 sisters Miss Inez Ridenoure of Winslow & Mrs Erma Maylott
& Mrs Ophelia Sakis of California & a brother, Elwood of California.
