Daughter of Eddie C and Vera N Hicks
Carolyn Cook, 75, of Van Buren died Thursday, October 27,2011 in the Pointer Trail Health and Rehab in Van Buren. She was born June 22, 1936, in Mulberry, Arkansas.
She was a 1954 graduate of County Line High School and formerly worked in sales for Sears and later retired after working a number of years as cashier for Lowes Home Improvements Warehouse in Fort Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Vera Hicks, and three brothers, Ed Hicks, Jr., William "Billy" Hicks and Jerry Hicks.
She is survived by one daughter Cindy Richardson of Midland, Texas, and one son, Mike Clark of Oklahoma City, OK, and three grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Also one sister, Frankie Hopwood of Van Buren and one brother, Jimmy Hicks of Kibler, Arkansas and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Highway in Fort Smith with burial at Rankin Cemetery at the Lone Elm Community Northeast of Mulberry.
