Funeral services for Rev. Harold Hunter GARNER, 80, of Alma, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m., Jan. l7, 2002, at Mulberry First Free Will Baptist Church in Arkansas, with Phillip Davis, Revs. Chester B. Smith and Cliff Ahart officiating. Burial is in Rankin Cemetery in Mulberry, Ark., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. He was born Dec. 11, 1921, in Mulberry, to Marion Oliver GARNER and Gladys (HUNTER) GARNER. He died Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, in Fort Smith Ark. He married Katie Lou BATTLES on July 7, 1947, in Martinez, Calif. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Katie GARNER of the home; three daughters, Trawanna, LaDonna Sue and Tammy; three sons, Rick, Arlis, and Tony; 14 grandchildren; and two brothers, James and Jerry.

Katie Lou Garner was born July 7, 1931 in Mulberry, Arkansas, the daughter of James Luke Battles and Ozella Huggins Battles. She was married to Rev. Harold Hunter Garner on July 7, 1947 in Martinez, California. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2002 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Mrs. Garner was a homemaker. She passed this life on February 9, 2012 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas after having attained the age of 80 years, 7 months and 2 days.
Survivors are 3 daughters: Trawanna Davis of Muldrow, Ok.,
LaDonna Sue Gilbert of Roland, Ok. and
Tammy Swon of Muskogee, Ok.
3 sons: Rick Garner of Mountain Home, AR,
Arliss Garner of DeRidder, La. and
Tony Garner of Alma, Ar.
