Mrs Velma Irene Jordan, 70, of Lamar died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Alma, daughter of the late Henry & Georgia Gregory Bennett & member of Branch Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Bennie Ross; 1 son, James Danny Walker; 5 sisters, Carnet Christian of Fort Smith, Constance Moore of Van Buren, Ruth Smith of Greenwood, Louise Brown of Joplin, Mo & Donna Stabb of Alma; & 3 grandchildren, Jenniefer Jordan & Dustin Campbell, both of Knoxville, & Justin Walker of Stillwater, Okla.
