SILOAM SPRINGS — Earl C. Meyers, 85, of Siloam Springs died Jan. 29, 2007 at Springdale.

He was born Dec. 22, 1921, in Tulsa, Okla., to Romanus and Seba Colston Meyers. He was retired from Allfast Rivet Co. in California and Brand Rex in Siloam Springs. He was a Methodist, a Master Mason at Illinois Lodge in Robinson and a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Ethelyn Meyers; one daughter, Ethelyn Acord of Siloam Springs; one sister, Marcella Herin of California; four grandchildren; one stepgrandson; two great-granddaughters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, online at www.nelsonberna.com. The Rev. Carl Palmer will officiate. Burial will follow in Yale Cemetery in the Robinson community.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

SILOAM SPRINGS — Ethelyn Elizabeth Meyers, 88, of Siloam Springs died Aug. 10, 2008, at Regency Hospital in Springdale. She was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Liberal, Kan., to Albert and Sarah Graves Stuart.

She was a 1939 graduate of Santa Ana Junior College and Whittier College in California in 1941. She was a member of Alpha Rho Tau and the Thalians. She worked for civil service as at Camp Claiborne, La., during World War II and taught school for 31 years in Buena Park, Calif. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Buena Park Chapter 240 in California and the Siloam Springs Chapter 221. She was also a member of Birthright Quaker Church and Robinson Community Ladies Club and Booster Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Meyers and one son, Ed Popejoy.

Survivors include one daughter, Lynn Acord and husband John of Siloam Springs; five grandchildren, Jason Popejoy, Sean Popejoy, Earl Meyers and wife Crystal, Billy McClendon and Ryan Acord; two great-grandchildren, Carlie Crittenden-McClendon and Seba Meyers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. The Rev. Dan Evans will officiate. Burial will be at Yell Cemetery in the Robinson community.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
